Green: rolling pass · Red: coil change

Calculated as rolling pass time ÷ (rolling pass + coil change). This is a simplified availability-based estimate, not full OEE: performance and quality losses are not modeled.

Model assumes constant strip width, volume conservation, uniform reduction, and constant acceleration/deceleration. All speed and travel distances refer to exit-strip speed. The adjustment delay is modeled at threading speed, so material continues to move. The two slowdown stages are speed thresholds: decelerate to stage 1 speed, travel the specified stage 1 length, then decelerate to stage 2 speed, followed by the specified tail run and final stop. Stage 2 is highlighted on the chart. Tail-out speed may be lower or higher than threading speed. Coil change time is included in production cycle time and t/h, but excluded from rolling pass time. No reversing, head/tail scrap or coil handling delay is included.
